How to get rid of warts without going to the DermatologistPayton Foeller
This ‘favorite things friday’ item came about basically because I got ticked at the dermatologists office.
I won’t say which because I’m sure they’re perfectly pleasant, I must of just caught them on their four only bad days…
The first several derm appointments I had I arrived to each appointment around 10 minutes early. Each appointment I waited AT LEAST 30 minutes, sometimes more. (Granted I was a tad early, but still, 20 minutes is a decent wait when it’s every single appointment).
Especially frustrating when you plan around your 3-4 month old baby, making sure they’d be fed and the least fussy for the appointment (feedings and nap times are serious business at that age).
It was a nice idea anyway…
I walked to the desk to check in. The receptionist looked at me and clarified what time the appointment was scheduled for, I affirmed. She rolled her eyes and said something along the lines of, ‘well our doctors are on a very tight schedule here, and they usually don’t take late patients… *she paused like she was waiting for me to say sorry*
…’ I calmly but firmly replied, ‘well actually I was intentionally taking my time today because all 3 appointments that I have come to I have had to wait for at least a half hour. I was on time to every one so today, rather than wait 30 minutes I thought I’d aim to be right on time so I wouldn’t have to wait as long…’
She sighed and said, ‘well I’ll see what they can do…’
I bought a bottle of Oregano oil, which cost me about 30 bucks (as much money as I paid per visit to the derm office so I wasn’t out too much).
I already had a bottle of liquid band-aid from previous attempts at using over the counter wart remover (ick, I hate the word wart).
And I already had Cononut oil (or any carrier oil) for diluting the oregano.
I said thanks, and sat down in the waiting room. They had me in the office in less than five minutes (so really my plan worked… I just could have done without the lovely encounter in between).
I scheduled a follow up but the more I thought about it the more mad I became so I canceled it a week later.
-every night before bed put some carrier oil on the affected area
-then put a drop of oregano on the spot.
-Then cover it.
She used regular band-aids but I can’t keep those on … because I’m a four year old.. So I used the liquid band-aid and it seemed to work well.
She said she did this every night for two weeks and the wart was GONE! You’ll see results after one night!
I did what she said, although I missed several nights here and there so it took me more than two weeks. But I did around the same number of treatments I think. And now they’re GONE!!! I’d had those stinking nasty things for around 3 years and they just kept getting worse no matter what I tried. And most of what I tried was painful. This treatment had a little sting if I didn’t use enough carrier oil. But that only means it’s working! I’m glad they made me mad or I probably would never have tried this!
Pardon my nasty looking, unpainted nails… But the before and after is just too cool to not share!
