These are all the things that, having no budget and no savings minded thoughts I would purchase all of! And probably even pay someone to tell me how to wear all these fancy things!
Then this strange thing happened. I looked in the closet that had about half of my clothes.. and I could see a very defined color palate.
Okay, we talked about some of my favorite brands and some dream outfits. Now let’s talk about how I’m going to complete my dream closet (or as close to a dream wardrobe as I can manage right now)! The pin below (click it then follow me on Pinterest! Shameless plug) is the one I’m using to evaluate types of clothes I have in my closet and what I need to do a little shopping for. Only switch out the green items for navy.
-Some modest fashionable midi skirts
-A few more loose blouse-like tops in light colors
-a blazer-like item (not a formal blazer for business, I’ve just always wanted a trendy blazer-ish jacket)
-possibly one or two more tunic pieces warm or cold weather
-some neutral multi-use use accessories (long pendant necklaces, bracelets, fashion rings maybe.. if I find any that stun me) That’s my mission! It’s really not much but it will help me round out the pieces I already have and be able to use them in more outfits which is the whole idea of the capsule wardrobe. Which I realize I’m not following to a tee.. I’m not picking a number of items to keep but in the spirit of the trend I’m cleaning house and keeping only what I love love! AND I’m going to do my best best best to not go shopping or at least not buy any clothes for another 3 months – until the next season! 3 months doesn’t seem to long. . Surely I can do it.
Alright ladies.. and maybe some stylish fellas. You read my list. Where should I look and what should I find to help complete my wardrobe! Help me out because I think I’m too cheap to try Stitch fix…
